Gracefully blending a classical training with a jazz edge and a extensive study of Balkan music, Paul's saxophone expresses a passion for the authenticity of traditional sounds while exploring a unique approach to the instrument.
Hailing from Besançon, France, Paul has spent 10 years living and playing in California and has recently moved back to the French musical scene. Musical encounters across the globe from Mexico to Istanbul via San Francisco and Budapest have fed an insatiable curiosity : his playing and compositional style brings forth the fruits of an unending research in musics, and people, of the world.
Most notably Paul has collaborated with international artist such as Nadara Gypsy Band, Inspector Gadje & Ismail Lumanovski, Axon Orchestra.
As an educator, he has organized a series of Balkan music workshops in Guadalajara, Mexico, helping develop a community of musicians throughout the years. He now teaches workshops in France
His current project, La Pêche, encapsulates these numerous musical inspirations while re-imagining the role of traditional music in a global scene.
